Encouraging children's curiosity

What is the worm doing in the apple? And how does a shadow come about? Children see the world with different eyes and question natural phenomena. But how do you teach STEM subjects to three to six-year-olds without overtaxing them?

Insufficient attention has been paid to this so far in educator training. New curricula for technical colleges are now intended to change all this – but there are still not enough materials and teaching concepts for the training of educators. This is precisely where the LUPE foundation project focusing on teaching and practical materials for educator training comes in, whereby the Deutsche Telekom Stiftung makes it possible for such materials to be developed and tested by the German Youth Institute (DJI). LUPE therefore both supports teachers at technical colleges and also future day care center staff in their work.
