Taking education to new levels – the university program.

Excellence has become an enormously important concept for Germany's researchers and academics. We aim to help them achieve excellence through our university programs. At the focus of our activities: teacher education. We support universities in their efforts to make their mark in this area, starting with math teacher training. We work with them in motivating college students and improving the didactic skills of tomorrow's teachers. Another focus of our university program covers research into teaching and learning. We also offer scholarships for promising young scientists working in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, and we endow chairs at two universities of excellence to promote advanced research in cutting-edge fields.
