Off to an early start – the early education program.
Preschools and elementary schools give young generations the tools they need to succeed in tomorrow's world. By starting learning processes and fostering individual talent, these schools will teach children knowledge and skills that they won't easily forget as they climb the academic ladder. And with the right support, they can build on this knowledge throughout their careers. Germany's early education system is in dire need of improvement. Its preschools and elementary schools have weaknesses not shared by other countries. Too little has been done in the past, especially for the youngest children. Deutsche Telekom Stiftung wants to address these weaknesses with the projects in its early education program. Our main target: preschool and elementary school teachers. We want to help them build specific, valuable skills by developing support tools and teaching materials for their day-to-day work, promoting alternative teaching methods and providing continuing education.
